Your Data, Your Rights
Athletes own their personal performance data.
Teams and coaches may access athlete data only with athlete permission.
Athletes may export or delete their data at any time.
Stryv ("Stryv", "we", "our", or "us") provides a sports performance management platform that enables sports organizations, coaches, and athletes to plan training, track performance, and analyze athletic development.
This Privacy Policy describes how personal data is collected, used, disclosed, and otherwise processed when using the Stryv platform.
Stryv is committed to protecting personal data and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Sports organizations using the Stryv platform act as Data Controllers, determining what athlete data is collected and how it is used.
Stryv acts as a Data Processor, processing data on behalf of these organizations in order to provide the platform and related services.
Account Information
Athlete Information
Organizations may store athlete-related data including name, date of birth, height and weight, profile information, emergency contact details, training schedules, workout assignments and completion, performance metrics, competition results, goals and progress tracking, coach feedback and notes, and uploaded training media or videos.
Training and Performance Data
The platform may store structured training data including training load metrics, readiness and recovery indicators, fatigue scores, workout exertion calculations, exercise tracking, and performance analytics.
Wearable and Fitness Device Data
If enabled by the user or organization, Stryv may collect data from connected wearable devices or health platforms including Apple Health or other third-party integrations. This may include heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep metrics, activity levels, calories burned, training load indicators, recovery scores, and other fitness-related metrics.
Wearable data is collected only with user authorization and may be disconnected at any time. Health data collected through Apple Health or similar integrations is used solely for sports performance analysis and is not used for advertising or marketing purposes.
Video and Media Data
Users may upload training videos or media for coaching, analysis, or review purposes. These files are stored securely and accessed only by authorized members of the organization.
Technical and Usage Data
We may automatically collect IP address, browser type, device information, session activity, system logs, and usage analytics.
Billing Data
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stryv does not store full credit card details. Billing information may include billing contact information, subscription plan, and transaction records.
Personal data is used to provide and operate the platform, manage user accounts, enable athlete training management, calculate training load and performance metrics, analyze training and performance trends, support communication between coaches and athletes, provide technical support, maintain platform security, process payments and subscriptions, and improve platform functionality.
Personal data is processed under the following legal bases:
Sports organizations using the platform are responsible for ensuring that they have obtained necessary consent from athletes.
Stryv provides analytical tools that may automatically process training and performance data to generate insights such as training load scores, readiness indicators, or performance trends. These analytics support coaching decisions and training analysis.
Automated calculations do not produce legal or similarly significant decisions without review by coaches or sports staff.
Stryv does not sell personal data.
Data may be shared with trusted service providers required to operate the platform, including hosting providers, payment processors, analytics services, and communication providers. Such providers are authorized to process personal data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and subject to appropriate contractual and data protection obligations.
Stryv may use third-party subprocessors to support the operation of the platform. Key subprocessors include:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Base44 | Application hosting and infrastructure |
| Stripe | Payment processing and subscription management |
| Cloudflare R2 | File and media storage (exercise images, athlete uploads) |
| Email Provider | Transactional email delivery (invitations, notifications) |
| Wrkout | Exercise library data and content provider |
| Apple HealthKit | Wearable and fitness device integration (user-authorized) |
Personal data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this occurs, Stryv ensures appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are in place.
Personal data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the service and satisfy legal obligations. Account deletion requests are processed through a two-step workflow: immediate soft deletion followed by permanent deletion on a scheduled timeline.
| Data Type | Retention Period |
|---|---|
| Active account and athlete data | While the account remains active, or until deleted by the organization/controller |
| Deletion-requested account data | Scheduled for permanent deletion after 30 days, except data that must be retained or anonymized for legal/business continuity reasons |
| Anonymized performance records | May be retained without personal identifiers to preserve team history and analytics integrity |
| Billing and compliance records | Retained as required by applicable law |
Individuals may request access to their personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of personal data, restriction of processing, and data portability.
Requests may be submitted through the organization managing the account, via in-app privacy controls where available, or directly to Stryv at support@stryv.tech. We aim to respond within applicable legal timeframes.
Stryv implements technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, infrastructure security, and secure authentication systems.
Many sports organizations work with athletes under the age of 18. Organizations using the platform are responsible for ensuring appropriate parental or guardian consent is obtained where required by applicable law.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and material changes will be communicated where required by law.
